Brennan was born and raised in beautiful western Colorado, the middle of five children. Both his parents were musically gifted, his father being an accomplished guitarist and his mother being a singer/songwriter as well as guitarist. By the time Brennan was born, his home was already filled with the music of not only his parents, but also his older sister and brother. It was almost inevitable that Brennan, too, would develop a love and talent for music. As a very small child, one of his favorite pastimes was listening to songs through the headphones while singing into anything that could be a prop for a microphone. He could often be found fingering the keys on his sister's table-top piano or strumming his brother's guitar. It wasn't long before he had his own instruments.

Formal training in piano began at about age 8, and lasted for a year. After being exposed to the basics of musical theory and the discipline of practice, Brennan took off on his own, never again to be limited by the pages in a book or a weekly assignment. The bud of music in his heart that had slowly grown since he was a toddler began to blossom. As a result of piano lessons, he began to compose his own tunes, and then expanded his abilities by adding bass and acoustic guitars to his repertoire, composing on those instruments as well. Brennan's adventurous spirit flows over into his music, which is distinctively his own.

Songs pour from the soul of this young man, and when he discovered computer technology in the field of musical composition, his horizons expanded exponentially. Brennan started brokeeven.com in 2003 as a creative outlet and side project for his hip hop beats and rap instrumentals.

Brennan Nicks currently resides in Vail, Colorado, where he chooses to spend most winters cultivating not only his music, but also feeding that adventurous spirit, in the form of snowboarding.

In 2006, brokeeven.com became PRUHFOUND.com with a new interactive interface, a new perspective and all instrumental music, rap beats, hip hop instrumentals, and film music free to listen to and free for download.
